Search audio data with the wavelet pyramidal algorithm
Li Y., Hou Y. Information Processing Letters91 (1):49-55,2004.Type:Article
Date Reviewed: Oct 22 2004

There are several methods for effectively searching and indexing using query-by-example in multimedia audio data. Based on their previous work [1], the authors present an efficient method that uses wavelet pyramidal algorithms to process the index, and search audio data. Since audio data is an unstable signal, this wavelet transform approach becomes more adaptive to extract the character of audio data. This novel approach reduces the search time without influencing the retrieval precision.
