On the convergence of global methods in multiextremal optimization
Horst R., Tuy H. Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications54 (2):253-271,1987.Type:Article
Date Reviewed: Sep 1 1988

The authors consider a general class of multidimensional optimization procedures that are based on a global search algorithm. Many existing methods fall into this class and may be improved by applying a general convergence theory that is developed in the paper. The paper is purely theoretical, containing no discussions of the calculational aspect or numerical examples.
