The subject of this chapter is a procedure for selecting a business graphics system (i.e., a system for generating media such as charts or slides); the procedure is called DIAD, for definition, inventory, analysis, and decision. While everything stated in the chapter is true, the discussion is so superficial that I am not sure anyone would benefit substantially from reading it. One feature Jacobs omits is the capability of generating graphics from data produced by another computer application, such as a spreadsheet.
