He has published a research monogram titled Raga Analysis Using Artificial Neural Network (co-authored by P. Prasoon) Lambert Academic Publishing 2014. He has also published over 90 papers on algorithms, statistical computing, and music analysis, and has over 18 years of teaching experience. An ACM, IEEE, and AMS reviewer (for Computing Reviews, Transactions on Computers, and Mathematical Reviews, respectively) and a member of the Editorial Boards of the IAENG International Journal of Computer Science and the American Journal of Theoretical and Applied Statistics, he is also a reviewer for the Journal of Applied Probability and Statistics, the Journal of Applied Statistics, the Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, the Electronic Journal of Applied Statistical Analysis, and the Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation. A life member of the Indian Statistical Institute and the Acoustical Society of India, he was an INSA Visiting Scientist (2004) and a recipient of a National Merit Scholarship (1988-1990). He recently received three awards from the India International Friendship Society: the Glory of India Award (2012), the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award (2012), and Shiksha Rattan Puraskar (2012).
