Simulation represents an important phase in the development of complex systems like software systems. The quality of a simulation’s outcomes depends on the quality of the simulator and the quality of the input for the simulation. In this paper, the author discusses the process of simulation modeling and figures out the weaknesses and limitations of prior works on the topic. This paper deserves credit for extending the literature on simulation process modeling. Unlike prior works based on personal modeling experiences, this paper goes beyond the author’s personal experiences and involves modeling experts with different individual experiences in the simulation modeling process.
I appreciate the study methodology and its originality. This work contributes to the literature in two ways: (1) it provides a new methodology, and (2) it extends the existing modeling process to a rapid modeling process.
I appreciate the paper’s consistent contribution to the literature as well as its linguistic clarity. The document is well structured and terms are succinctly defined. No significant weakness in the research methodology is present.
I can highly recommend this paper to readers in this research field, as well as modelers who could benefit from a new simulation modeling process.
