Software reliability--theory and practice
Hsia P. (ed) Computers and Electrical Engineering11 (2-3):145-149,1984.Type:Article
Date Reviewed: Apr 1 1986

This paper gives a very short introduction to software reliability. It sets forth various definitions of software reliability, distinguishes between reliability and correctness, describes several models, and discusses the role of software reliability in software development--all in 31-2- pages of text (plus one page of references). The main contribution that this paper offers is that it can be used as the first introduction to software reliability. It is relatively free of technical jargon and there is no mathematical notation.
