On system theory and its relevance to problems in information science
Mortazavian H., John Wiley & Sons, Inc., New York, NY, 1983. Type: Book (9780471887171)
Date Reviewed: Jan 1 1986

The relevance of system theory to problems in information science is not demonstrated. In fact, it is hardly discussed. This may be because what is presented as system theory is actually just a smattering of linear system theory (which is itself a subset of what is usually distinguished as mathematical system theory). Linear system theory does not really have much to offer information science.
