| | Robert Wójcik received his MSc and PhD (with honors) degrees in telecommunications from AGH University of Science and Technology, Kraków, Poland, in 2006 and 2011, respectively. Currently, he works as an assistant professor in the Department of Telecommunications of AGH. He is the co-author of more than 40 research publications, including 15 research papers in JCR journals and several patent applications. In 2014, he received a best paper award from IEEE Communications Society for “Performance evaluation of flow-aware multi-topology adaptive routing.” In 2012, he was rewarded a prestigious Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education three-year scholarship for young scientists. In the following year, the Foundation for Polish Science awarded him a scholarship in the START program. He was involved in several international EU-funded scientific projects, including: SmoothIT, NoE BONE and Euro-NF, as well as smaller, national projects. He was a leader in three national science projects in which he managed groups of up to six people. His current research interests focus on flow-aware networking, quality of service, network neutrality, and multipath routing. Recently, he has been working on several collaborative research projects involving specialists from industry and academia. Since 2015, he has also engaged as an expert for project application assessment in several institutions, including the National Center of Research and Development (NCBiR), the Polish Ministry of Economic Development, and Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK). So far, he has assessed over 200 applications, ranging from €0.5 to 5 million. Since 2011, he has actively served as the associate technical editor of IEEE Communications Magazine. |
