| Dan Grigoras is a senior lecturer in computer science at University College Cork (Ireland), a position he has held since 2001. Previously, he held academic positions with Technical University and Al I Cuza University in Iasi, Romania. He received his undergraduate degree and his masters degree in electrical engineering from Technical University Iasi. He received his PhD in computer science from Politehnica University Bucharest, Romania. Dan has had three books published and has co-edited two others, and has written more than 45 papers. His research interests are primarily focused on mobile and wireless networks, mobile ad hoc networks, and mobile applications and systems. He coordinates the new MSc program at University College Cork on software and systems for mobile networks, as well as the work placement program of the department. His interests outside of teaching and research include wildlife, nature, and art. |
