Klaus K. Obermeier is currently CEO and President of the Atlanta-based iotronics Corporation, a Web service automation and integration company for IP-enabled devices. In 2002, he raised 2 million Euro from a venture capital fund in Germany. He is an acknowledged authority on load testing, Web services, and natural language processing. He was the founder of SQLBench International, a load testing company based on statistical modeling and queuing theory of applications during the design phase. Segue Software purchased SQLBench in 1998. He held the position of Vice-President of International Operations at Segue Software, Softblox, and IQ Software. He began his career as¿¿Principal Senior Scientist in man-machine interaction and artificial intelligence (AI) for Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus, Ohio. He received his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in linguistic cognitive modeling of temporal data for medical expert systems. He was granted an Inventor Award and Business Development Award from Battelle Memorial Institute for creating and taking to market a natural language interface for relational databases. He holds a Liberal Arts degree from The University of Regensburg, Germany. He has taught computer science courses focused on computational linguistics and AI. His research interests include disruptive technologies for pervasive computing, with an emphasis on natural language processing and wireless devices. He is currently working on a Web services generator for IP-enabled devices based on emerging properties. Obermeier has written a book on natural language processing and AI, and has had several papers on expert systems published. As a Wittgenstein aficionado, he presented papers at international conferences and has published on subjects ranging from phenomenology and neopositivism to cognitive issues in touring test scenarios. He contributed numerous chapters to encyclopedias and trade journals on a wide variety of subjects. Obermeier is a current member and past alumnus of the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) at The Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. |
