Passive network synthesis :an approach to classification
Morelli A., Smith M., SIAM-Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics,Philadelphia, PA,2019. 153 pp.Type:Book
Date Reviewed: 01/24/20

This interesting and technically oriented book was written for an audience with some advanced knowledge and understanding of passive networks and network synthesis.

The authors have tried to convey the latest developments in this area, for example, in its “new analysis and classification of the Ladenheim catalogue ... to obtain an improved understanding of the structure and realization power of the class within the biquadratic positive-real functions.” The book can serve as a starting point for clarifying key concepts and identifying possible pathways for future research and implementations.

The book’s presentation limits its accessibility to readers with a more technical background, for example, undergraduate and postgraduate students.
