Dimitrios Katsaros was born in Thetidio-Farsala, Greece in 1974. He received a BS in Computer Science from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in March 1997. From July 1997 to June 1998, Dimitrios Katsaros was a visiting researcher at the Department of Pure and Applied Mathematics at the University of L'Aquila, Italy. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student at the Computer Science Department of the Aristotle University, and is expected to complete his degree in February 2004. His works have been published in IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, Idea Group books, and the Springer series of Lecture Notes in Computer Science and Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence. His articles have been presented at many conferences, including WebKDD and IDA. He an editor of the book Wireless information highways, which will be published by Idea Group, Inc. in 2004. His research interests include Web databases, semistructured data, and mobile data management.
